The open-weave structure of the garment is inspired by the art of bamboo weaving. Bamboo is abundant in the designer's hometown in Fujian province. Local craftsmen use bamboo to weave all sorts of utensils, from containers, headwear to lanterns. She reminisces about local fishermen using bamboo baskets to transport fish back from the harbour and decided to incorporate similar geometric patterns into her design, paying homage to the rich tradition of bamboo weaving in her homeland.","physicalDescription":"This round neck sweater is made of cotton in tan colour.
