Lund Humphries, besides commissioning design work, were also able to provide studio and exhibition space in their new Bedford Square building. In 1934 Lund Humphries held an exhibition of Hans Schleger (Zero), who arrived in England in 1932 from Germany, and became a close friend of McKnight Kauffer. Schleger was to become one of the leading graphic designers in Britain, producing prestigious work for London Transport, GPO, Shell and BP, as well as government war posters.","physicalDescription":"Charnaux information leaflet, designed by Zero (Hans Schleger). One folded sheet the back fold being half the width of the front so that the design of inside and back cover is integrated. The design is in beige, black and cream. The front cover has a cream background on which are four beige petals (or droplets of water), and a row of numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0. All are also in beige except for the letter 5 which is in black and set against a background formed by one of the 'petals'.
