One of a series of posters\nadvertising the furnishing store, Finmar, 26 Kingly\nStreet, London W.1. In its original frame.\nc. 1953-59\nSigned <u>Zero</u>\nColour screenprint\nPoster (E.275.1) sight size: 72 x 50.8 cm\nFrame (E.275.2) 80 x 60 x 2.2 cm\n                                                                       E.275.1-2-1994\n\n<u>Literature</u>: Paul Rand and George Him 'Hans\nSchleger' in Graphis no 188, vol 32, 1976/7. p. 518\n\nThis was one of a series of posters designed by\nSchleger for Finmar. The corporate image was\npromoted by making all the images variations on the\nstick-tree logo first designed in 1953. The frame \nis of a type originally designed by Kaare Klimt [sic] and\nmade by  Rudolf Ramussen, who made up most of\nKlimt's [sic] designs, for an exhibition of Danish\nartefacts in the National Museum of Denmark in 1942\n(Denmark was then under German occupation).
