MA/1/G1639/1). \r\n\r\nNotes from R.P. 17/3506 (circ 353-1919 side board - sold in 1952)\r\n\r\nNotes from R.P. 3378 of 22/10/17 - minute paper\r\nShows receipt of \"a piece of furniture of architectural design in two parts with mirror\".  The condition is noted: \"mirror broken, veneer broken in several places, several pieces of moulding off and missing\".\r\n\r\n23/10/17 letter, Brackett to Green\r\nrequests information regarding Green's intentions for the cabinet and informs him that it arrived in damaged condition with the mirror broken.\r\n\r\n27/10/17 letter, Green to Sir Cecil Smith\r\nGreen suggests \"doing what you think best\" and writes \"I bought the piece 20 years ago and gave (alas) a good deal for it.  I can't place it - is it Queen Anne? (….) rather interesting in a way - has it been 'married'.  I fancy  ……(I  put the mirror in perhaps an old piece) or (I feel the mirror is perhaps an old piece).  I might find another - I don't think it was a 'glass'\".\r\n\r\n31/10/17 minute, Brackett\r\n\"This is an unusual piece of furniture, consisting of a table with drawers supporting a pediment inset with mirror.  The decision is made to accept it as a gift.\r\n\r\n31/10/17 draft letter, Brackett to Green\r\naccepts the gift and notes that \"It is an unusual piece and may be English of the time of Queen Anne\".\r\n\r\n2/11/17 gift form\r\nlisted as \"piece of furniture, of architectural design, consisting of a table with drawers supporting a pediment inset with mirror\".
