Today many immigrants face mandatory detention and deportation without any of these previous considerations. The pamphlet aims to immigration system and provides non-US citizens the knowledge and resources to fight against the deportation process.","physicalDescription":"While the leaflet is folded the front cover is a striking yellow colour emphasising the caution behind the title “Immigrants Beware!” The bold use of the primary colours red and blue highlight the topics which will be made on the interior and signpost the reader to look out for them. Once unfolded there are case studies which are emphasised by the yellow while other information is presented within blue and red graph-like design.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Cavar, Lana","id":"AUTH377444"},"association":{"text":"designer","id":"x36960"},"note":""},{"name":{"text":"Maletic, Tamara","id":"AUTH377445"},"association":{"text":"designer","id":"x36960"},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Center for Urban Pedagogy","id":"AUTH339167"},"association":{"text":"patrons","id":"AAT115251"},"note":""},{"name":{"text":"Families for Freedom","id":"AUTH377446"},"association":{"text":"maker","id":"x40240"},"note":""},{"name":{"text":"Center for Urban Pedagogy","id":"AUTH339167"},"association":{"text":"commissioner (patron)","id":"THES258415"},"note":""},{"name":{"text":"Fortune Society","id":"AUTH377428"},"association":{"text":"maker","id":"x40240"},"note":"Provided information (content) for the poster."}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"paper","id":"x30308"}],"techniques":[],"materialsAndTechniques":"","categories":[{"text":"Posters","id":"THES252963"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"DAD","id":"THES260586"},"images":["2022ND8191","2022ND8192"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"LVLD","id":"THES49658"},"free":"","case":"DR","shelf":"118","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Poster","id":"AAT27221"}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"New York (City)","id":"x29030"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"2011","earliest":"2011-01-01","latest":"2011-12-31"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""},{"date":{"text":"2011","earliest":"2011-01-01","latest":"2011-12-31"},"association":{"text":"designed","id":"x29338"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Purchased","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Width","value":"20.3","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""},{"dimension":"Height","value":"29.9","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""},{"dimension":"Width","value":"56","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""},{"dimension":"Height","value":"81","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Informational leaflet on the consequences of criminal convictions and gives non- US citizens knowledge and resources to fight the deportation process.\r\n2011","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"Made in conjunction with graphic artists through Centre for Urban Pedagogy’s Public Access Design Fellowship and advocacy communities.
