It has no collar, wide revers, straight fronts reaching to above the natural waist. It is couched with flat and coiled silver strip in a pattern of parallel lines and small, abstract floral motifs. The waistcoat has a double-breasted effect with 4 embroidered buttons on the right front, and on the left front, 4 worked buttonholes with a button to the left of each.
