Simpson, Hanley (ca.1890-1969) which is illustrated in Barnard (see Refs.). A design for a tiled fireplace surround decorated in maroon and grey with squirrels and leafy branches was exhibited at Wolverhampton Art Gallery (Victorian Tiles, 1978, cat.288).
