Many looked to new creative avenues or responded to the crisis directly. Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, members of the band 'The Kills', designed a range of face masks in aid of the US charity NIVA (National Independent Venue Association). NIVA had launched a #SAVEOURSTAGES initiative to support small independent music venues struggling during the pandemic. Each mask was designed by the band and all proceeds went to the charity. In an Instagram post, Mosshart stated, \"We hope that you wear these masks and keep safe.
