She danced a version of it in her first programme in Vienna in 1903, frequently danced it at the Palace Theatre, London, and included it in the film <i>The Rugmaker’s Daughter</i> (1915). It was a short dance that expressed laughter, life and idealised youth. Iit was described as ‘an extraordinary exhibition of athletic grace, by alighting off her feet, as it were, with willowy arms uplifted as if reaching often the joyousness of which spring is a symbol.’ J. T.
