It had a capacity of around 19,000, meaning it was often chosen over venues such as Wembley Arena by bands with a large fan base.\r\n\r\nQueen had been together as a band since 1969 and had recorded their first album in 1973, but it wasn't until they released their third album in 1974 that they gained real commercial success.  By the time of this tour in 1977, Queen had the third best selling single of all time, with <i>Bohemian Rhapsody</i>, and had had major success in the United States of America. They could easily sell out two nights at Earl's Court and celebrate their success with these giant capacity gigs.
