Arthur Gilbert donated his extraordinary collection to Britain in 1996.","physicalDescription":"The circular frame stands on a circular foot with a chased border and encloses a tapering, cut-glass bowl.   The border of the foot is chased with stylized laurel; within is a band of grapevines on matted ground, with applied beading above.  The gadrooned rim is supported by a frame of three vertical bands of vines with bunches of grapes; there is a small pendant foliate wreath at the top of each vertical element.
