The support of the pulpit, which is thoroughly Gothic, is part of the canopy, but the pulpit and the figure form a separate piece of carving. Possibly they may be of the same date as the canopy, but the Renaissance influence is evident in the little nude figures, which are never to be found in Gothic work.
