He photographed the bust and produced a series ofexperimental carbon dye prints from this single image, altering each one in colour and technique. Moving between abstraction and representation, the series characterises Welling’s ongoing investigations within the conventions and materials of photography, and presents a study in repetition and difference. \r\n\r\nExperimental carbon and dye prints\r\nPurchase funded by the Photographs Acquisition Group\r\nMuseum nos.
