Pattern: wool; Z2S; 9 colours: red, yellow, dark blue, blue, light blue, pink, dark brown, black, cream; Sequence; over 3 warp threads and back behind 2.\r\n\r\nSIDE FINISH: returned wefts.\r\n\r\nEND FINISH: Lower: cut.  Upper: cut after 2 cms. of plain weave, with dark brown weft.\r\n\r\nDESIGN: there are seven bands of geometric design.  The central, deep band has one complete band and two half bands of hooked diamonds within a siz -sided yellow lattice and containing a quartered diamond; bands 1,3, 5 and 7 have a yellow ground with red and blue S-shapes; bands 2 and 6 have a cream ground with a repeated angular motif from a central stem and all infilled with small crosses.
