There may also be a connection with John Cam Hobhouse and Lord Byron who toured Greece and Turkey together, 1809-10: see J. C. Hobhouse, A Journey through Albania...to Constantinople...  1809 and 1810, 1813,  For former suggested attributions see Searight Archive, under `English School'.  See also SD.1065 & SD.1066 by Mrs W. Turner .\r\nSD.1263-1265 appear to be by the same hand, and possibly also SD.1266-1268.  The artist may have been an English visitor to Constantinople. For a copy or version of this, see SD.1065.
