On a ground of white meshed material is disposed in the centre a palmette of brown ferns, whilst a fleur-de-lys devices radiate from the circumference; they are light brown in colour. A fringe of white runs round the material.\r\nAccording to information supplied by Mr John Jacoby, the ground is made of the bark of the Jamaican lace-bark tree (Lagetta Lintearia); the borders are made of the spathe of the cabbage palm (Areca Glenacea) and the breadfruit (Artocarpus niasa[sp?]). The fringe is French cotton (Calotropis procera).
