Globular body with low vertical rim. On one side the following verses, printed in balck, enclosed within crossed sprays in colours and surmounted by a cottage in colours:\r\n'A little health a little wealth, A little house with freedom, And at the end a little Friend, With little cause to need him.'\r\n\r\nOn the other side is a shield defined in printed balck and red, containing fictitious agricultural heraldry printed in black. On the right side of the shield is a man with a scythe and field keg standing near a beehive and in the background a rural scene with a cow being milked. On the left of the shield a woman with a hay rake stands near a milk-pail, and in the background a rural scene with hay being carried in the valley and a church on the hill behind. Above the shield, a sheaf of corn is printed in black and yellow. Below the shield is a ribbon with the legend 'God speed the Plough'.\r\n\r\nUnder the spout is the name of the owner painted in black 'William Hodsgon / Burniston'.
