This object is one of five kept loose in a drawer when the group was housed at the Courtauld Institute of Art. It is unclear which frame the objects were originally in and it has not been possible yet to identify the works in the exhibition booklet. \r\nA note in the drawer suggested it was “Lely, Elizabeth Hamilton” which was formerly in the now missing case ‘Y’. It does indeed appear to be a copy of an oil painting of Elizabeth Hamilton, Countess of Gramont, about 1663, by Sir Peter Lely, now in the Royal Collection. \r\nWoman c. 1663, bust length, in a state of ‘undress’, wearing a red nightgown over a white chemise. She has brown hair worn in long ringlets.\r\n","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"","id":""},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[{"text":"London","id":"x28980"}],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[{"text":"J.J.
