Since her debut at London Fashion Week in September 2014, Goddard has grown an international reputation and in May 2018 she won the BFC Vogue Designer Fashion Fund award. This dress is from Goddard’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, first shown at London Fashion Week in February 2019. It was hand-smocked by her team in East London and comprises 61 metres of nylon tulle net. It took three full days to make this dress. With three metres used for each sleeve, and a hem measuring 60 metres, this dress was the largest that Goddard had made to date (it has sincebeen superseded in subsequent collections). ","physicalDescription":"Full-length dress of hand-smocked nylon tulle. The dress features ruffles created by smocking on the bodice and skirt which frame the wide, off-the-shoulder neckline. The full-length sleeves are multi-layer and voluminous and gathered into ruffles at the cuff. A single layer of tulle over each shoulder supports the bodice of the dress. The wide, full skirt has a hem meauring 60 metres.
