He also played the hero and the role gave Babilée ‘a fine opportunity to show off his seldom seen talent for clowning and comic impersonation’. Tom Keogh was responsible for the designs and provided a number of drawings for Richard Buckle to use as illustrations to his discussion of the ballet in the magazine <i>Ballet</i>, vol. 9, no.1, January 1950. Two of the drawings of women's heads appear on pages 40 and 41. Buckle wasa disappointed by the production which was 'a little repetitive and confused' but he felt 'With some reorganization Tyl could be a much better work.' \n\n","physicalDescription":"Pen and ink drawings on heavy paper mounted on board.
