The Christian Dior London company had moved to new premises at 9 Conduit Street in 1960, where it opened the first Dior retail boutique in Britain. The boutique offered garments and accessories from the Christian Dior London collection as well as the Diorling label. The company also ran a made-to-measure service from a salon upstairs. The sewing workrooms were located in the basement.
