She has concentrated on enamelling both for the range of colours it provides and the technical challenges it poses.  Largely self-taught, she has developed her own unique and very personal cloisonné jewelery and objects and mastered the difficult technique of plique-à-jour.\n\nShe has exhibited widely in both the UK and internationally.  She has received numerous awards for her enamel jewellery and bowls.  Many of her pieces are held in significant private collections or in permanet museum collections.","physicalDescription":"Bowl, 24 and 22 carat gold, silver, plique-à-jour and cloisonné enamel; hemispherical with a crenellated rim of leaf like sections, framed by gold wire.  The bowl, the upper part of peach, plique-à-jour enamel pierced with bands of circular and oval holes framed in gold wire, the lower half of slate grey enamel with a series of horizontal and vertical, circles and ovals inlaid with enamel, clustered around the foot.  The base of the bowl, a silver disc with cloisonné enamelled leaves on the underside, supported on a foot, a circular collar of silver, pierced with circular and oval holes and covered with slate grey, cloisonné enamel.  The entire bowl and foot covered in white dots of cloisonné enamel.
