BASKET: TRIANGULAR BOWL\r\nDesigned and made by Maggie Henton\r\n(British, born 1953), London, Great Britain, 1992\r\nDyed cane and wire\r\nT.175-1993\r\nMaggie Henton trained as a textile artist. Her interest in\r\nthe structure of weaving and the creation of three-\r\ndimensional forms led her into working with cane and\r\nmaking baskets. She found she could dye and weave the\r\ncane as easily as a textile fibre and often mixes found\r\nmaterials such as wire and plastic with it.
