Inscribed in ink inside the body with the following: <i>no. 538 / Paul Bailly (signature) / London 1889</i>.  Also inside is a manufacturer's sticker detailing the Paris workshop of luthier Jean Baptiste Vuillaume.\n\n\n<b>S.83:2-2019 - Violin bow</b>\n\nWooden bow stick with horse hair and mother of pearl inlays in the frog (part held by the player).  Some of the hair has come loose at one end of the bow.  Thumbgrip is possibly leather.\n\n<b>S.83:3-2019 - Violin case</b>\n\nBrown leather exterior, with metal lock, clasps and hardware, lined in olive green velvet.  The case was built to hold two violins and four bows, and has an additional 4 compartments for accessories.  \n\nAlso found inside the case are: one handkerchief, one receipt for violin repairs, one business card for a contact at Messrs Chappell &amp; Co.
