","historicalContext":"The double-lipped sauceboat was a new form introduced by the Huguenot goldsmiths, perfectly suited for serving sophisticated sauces introduced by French cooks working in London.  A selected of recipes for sauces were published by Vincent la Chapelle, Huguenot master cook, who was working in Mayfair, London, for Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield in the 1720s.
