Influenced by the wild and rugged nature of his native Scotland he designs and creates fascinating silverware of the finest quality. His work is a fusion of contemporary and classic designs produced entirely by hand using traditional silversmithing skills that include raising, chasing, forging, and planishing. \n\nThis vase by Ryan McClean has been computer designed and 3D printed. The print was then electroformed on the outside and the plastic dissolved from within leaving the solid silver form. Ryan McClean intended the piece to explore the ideas of interior and exterior space.","physicalDescription":"Vase, fine silver, (999), created by the electroforming process.
