Chiuri, formerly co-creative director at Valentino, was appointed as Dior’s first female artistic director in July 2016. She used her first collection to explore the concept of femininity in the 21st century.  The slogan was taken from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s essay and TEDx talk with the same title. \n\nIn the catwalk presentation the t-shirt was paired with a floor-length embroidered black skirt, the colour combination and silhouette making a subtle reference to Dior’s ‘Bar’ Suit.
