The two main styles during this time were small skull-caps, or wide 'saucer' hats.  A hat such as this would be suitable for a cocktail party or dinner. \r\n\r\nThis hat was designed by the Danish-born Aage Thaarup (1906–1987), who moved to London in the 1930s.
