After his death the whole collection of about 180 panels was sold and went to the Castle of Groditzberg in Silesia. 23 panels of this collection were sold again in 1854 to Charlottenburg and then to England. 9050, 9057-60, 9063-1863 do not seem to be from this. The rest of the Schloss Groditzberg Collection was bought in 1894 fot the new Swiss National Museum; see Catalogue by F.R. Rahn.\n\nNote in Register: (8 April 1952) Paul Boesch states that this panel is the work of Heinrich Ban, died 1599. He was the state glass painter in Freiburg between 1540 and 1550 and from 1550 to 1599 he worked in Zurich.\n\nNote in Register: Hans Lehmann states that this is the work of Hans Heinrich Ban of Zurich.","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Panel of clear glass painted in silver stain and enamels.
