Found by English actor William Horley, the troupe toured in the early 20th century, mainly performing in America, and appearing with Ringling Brothers Circus and in variety theatres. In 1911 and 1912 the Banvards came to London's Alhambra Theatre where they were billed as 'America’s greatest gymnasts'. They also appeared in the Royal Variety Performance at the London Coliseum on 28 July 1919.\n\r\n","physicalDescription":"Photograph of six acrobats in costume, four male, two female, full length.
