The coat is made from a navy and gold lamé fabric with a moiré pattern. It is decorated with beading of hollow  glass beads and coloured pastes in the style of an 18th century mens frock coat. The coat has open hanging  sleeves, with a band of green silk lining the internal sleeve edge.\n\r\nThe dress is made of a bright purple and gold lamé fabric also with a moiré pattern. It has a loose back which  hangs out at the waist line and a self-fabric belt. The front of the dress has a hanging sash fringed with  beaded tassels. It is lined with an attached purple silk petticoat. The petticoat has a black and pink label which  reads 'The Misses Wilson, 51 Grosvenor Street, London W. It also has a white silk ribbon label with the  handwritten name of the wearer 'Mrs Ehrman'.\n\r\nRina Ehrman (nee Bendit) was married to Albert Ehrman founder of the Broxbourne library. In the 1920s they lived at 38 Lowndes Street. Rina enjoyed fashion and also bought from Molyneux. This ensemble survived in the dressing-up box of her grandsons. They are most likely a separate business from another Misses Wilson, Jane &amp; M. Wilson who were an earlier but equally high-end dressmakers based on Grafton Street in Dublin in the late 19th century from the mid-1870s into the early 20th century.
