It was acquired by the Ballets Russes and Diaghilev’s company gave 4 performances of the ballet 2 each in Paris and London making it the least performed ballet in the Company’s repertoire. These photographs by Sasha appear to have been taken in conjunction with performances at the Prince’s Theatre in July 1927.\r\nIn the first tableau 'Night sets the scene for the loves of Apollo and Venus. The Signs of the Zodiac surround them.
