This is in a glazed passe-partout frame, rebound in September 1980. The backing board is covered in a patterned 'wood-effect' paper. There is part of a red fabric loop at the top that was probably used to hang the image.\r\nThe object is labelled several times with the date as 1843, but has later been corrected to 1840.
