The front is a section of a sphere to which is attached a sloping spout tapering towards the aperture. The rear section forms the segment of a sphere and the grip is a concave narrow strip with an ebony insert. The interior of the teapot is gilded. The perspex lid is in the form of a shallow hemisphere with a semi-circular, half-round moulding along the front edge.
