She is a pioneer of luxury, sustainable fashion. The company has also lent its support to high-street brands that share its sustainability aims. \r\n\r\nStella McCartney’s focus on sustainable materials has led it to collaborate with other companies. In partnership with supplier Zegna Baruffa, it developed the first Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold Level wool yarn in 2017. The Cradle to Cradle certificates assess the materials, recycling potential, energy sources, carbon emissions, water usage and social fairness of products. \r\n\r\nThe trousers of this ensemble are made from viscose using wood pulp from sustainably managed and certified forests in Sweden. The shoes are also made of recycled polyester from plastic water bottles.","physicalDescription":"Silk (shirt), with George Stubbs, ‘Horse Frightened by a Lion’ print, Viscose and elastane (trousers), Solvent-free polyurethane and polyester (boots).","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Stella McCartney","id":"A4894"},"association":{"text":"designer","id":"x36960"},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Stella McCartney","id":"AUTH319259"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"silk (textile)","id":"AAT243428"},{"text":"viscose","id":"x32523"},{"text":"elastane","id":"x33568"},{"text":"polyurethane","id":"AAT14495"},{"text":"polyester","id":"AAT14546"}],"techniques":[{"text":"inkjet print","id":"x39339"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Shirt - silk crepe de chine, inkjet printed\r\nTrousers - viscose and elastane\r\nBoots - Solvent-free polyurethane and polyester","categories":[{"text":"Sustainability","id":"THES285124"},{"text":"Womenswear","id":"THES49044"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"T&F","id":"THES48601"},"images":["2019LK3166","2019LK3167","2019LK3171"],"imageResolution":"low","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"A","id":"THES404167"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"A","id":"THES404167"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"001","id":"THES404960"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"001","id":"THES404960"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Shirt","id":"AAT212499"}],[{"text":"Trousers","id":"AAT209935"}],[{"text":"Shoe","id":"AAT46065"}],[{"text":"Shoe","id":"AAT46065"}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Britain","id":"x32019"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":"The silk crepe de chine of the shirt was woven in Italy"}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"2017","earliest":"2017-01-01","latest":"2017-12-31"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Given by Stella McCartney","dimensions":[],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"This object is inkjet printed with George Stubbs's <i>Horse Frightened by a Lion</i> (1770).
