It encourages creativity and self-belief, it allows children to work alongside professionals and take control of the creative process. Layla Amir, from Sunderland and age 11 imagined the invention of the Shady Lamp. \r\nThis creation which took Carl Gregg, a process and product design specialist spent 80 hours realising Layla’s creation. The Shady Lamp stemmed from the idea that a dimmer switch can break.
