The Japanese style Imari decoration relates closely pattern No. 355 in use by the Pinxton factory, Nottingham, where Billingsley previously worked.   Of the two Brampton ceramics in the V&A collection, a chocolate cup and saucer (C.437&A-1920) is the only other known example with this pattern.
