Arnison hiked for hours to reach each location, even abseiling to access one waterfall. His chosen scenes were lit with handheld torches, with the help of an assistant. The nocturnal setting and difficulty in accessing some of the locations make Arnison's <i>Waterfalls</i> series a particularly unusual depiction of the British landscape.
