The cannon when assembled is a double-barrelled weapon, made from yellow and red plastic, its base is die-cast metal, painted yellow, with applied stickers. The missiles are red plastic balls, these are still attached to their sprue. They could be fired from the cannon by flicking the levers on either side. The figure is an armed male space warrior, wearing a space suit, with black painted hair. He is made from yellow plastic, and has a removeable die-cast metal base, which is painted red.\n\nWith the toy is its original box and packaging. The box is of colour printed card, showing images of other products from this line and some basic play instructions. The internal card packaging is printed with an image of a swirling galaxy, the cannon and the figure can be fitted into slots.\n","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Britains Ltd","id":"A1865"},"association":{"text":"manufacturers","id":"AAT25230"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"plastic","id":"AAT14570"},{"text":"metal","id":"AAT10900"},{"text":"paper","id":"AAT14109"}],"techniques":[{"text":"injection moulding","id":"AAT54070"},{"text":"printing","id":"AAT53319"},{"text":"die casting","id":"AAT53106"},{"text":"painting","id":"AAT161986"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Injection-moulded plastic, die-cast metal, painted; printed card","categories":[{"text":"Dolls & Toys","id":"THES48967"},{"text":"Plastic","id":"THES49026"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"YVA","id":"THES48593"},"images":["2017JU8879"],"imageResolution":"low","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"cannon","id":"AAT36936"}],[{"text":"components","id":"AAT241583"}],[{"text":"toys","id":"AAT211037"}],[{"text":"components","id":"AAT241583"}],[{"text":"toys","id":"AAT211037"}],[{"text":"components","id":"AAT241583"}],[{"text":"toys","id":"AAT211037"}],[{"text":"box","id":"AAT45643"}],[{"text":"packaging","id":"AAT55100"}],[{"text":"missiles","id":"AAT208803"}],[{"text":"figure","id":"AAT189808"}],[{"text":"leaflet","id":"AAT211825"}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Great Britain","id":"x32019"},"association":{"text":"manufactured","id":"x29350"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1981-1982","earliest":"1981-01-01","latest":"1982-12-31"},"association":{"text":"manufactured","id":"x29350"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"13","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"cannon","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"Part of the Edward Castle collection.\r\n","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Stargard, space cannon; Plastic & metal, English, Britains, 1981-1986","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"Mass produced","id":"THES48863"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[{"text":"astronauts","id":"x38591"},{"text":"cannons","id":"AAT36936"}],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["B.200:1-2016","B.200:2-2016","B.200:3-2016","B.200:4-2016","B.200:5-2016","B.200:6-2016","B.200:7-2016","B.200:8-2016","B.200:9-2016"],"accessionNumberNum":"200","accessionNumberPrefix":"B","accessionYear":2016,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2026-04-01","recordCreationDate":"2016-11-04","availableToBook":false}}
