The robot is made from soft and hard PVC, with polystyrene parts, it vaguely resembles a Japanese warrior. The PVC head and 'breastplate' are separately moulded to the torso, and are attached to it with steel screws. Details have been highlighted on the arms, legs and head with silver, yellow and red paint. There are two 'saucers', one red, one yellow, which can be fired from a clockwork spigot on the robot's chest. The mechanism is wound with a large integral key on the robot's back, and activated using a small, round button just below it. Small red missiles (of which there are six) can be fired from spring-loaded launchers in the robot's knees. Two small, red plastic axes can be fitted into sockets at either side of the robot's waist.\n\nWith the robot is its original box, made from colour-printed card with a transparent plastic window on the front.\n","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Taiwan Universal","id":"A3747"},"association":{"text":"manufacturers","id":"AAT25230"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"PVC","id":"AAT14513"},{"text":"polystyrene","id":"AAT14492"},{"text":"paper","id":"AAT14109"}],"techniques":[{"text":"injection moulding","id":"AAT54070"},{"text":"printing","id":"AAT53319"},{"text":"painting","id":"AAT161986"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"PVC, painted; polystyrene; printed paper and card","categories":[{"text":"Dolls & Toys","id":"THES48967"},{"text":"Plastic","id":"THES49026"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"YVA","id":"THES48593"},"images":["2017JU8873","2017JU8872"],"imageResolution":"low","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES343679"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"doll","id":"AAT211087"}],[{"text":"missile","id":"AAT208803"}],[{"text":"missile","id":"AAT208803"}],[{"text":"missile","id":"AAT208803"}],[{"text":"missile","id":"AAT208803"}],[{"text":"missile","id":"AAT208803"}],[{"text":"missile","id":"AAT208803"}],[{"text":"missile","id":"AAT208803"}],[{"text":"missile","id":"AAT208803"}],[{"text":"axe","id":"x31779"}],[{"text":"axe","id":"x31779"}],[{"text":"box","id":"AAT45643"}],[{"text":"packaging","id":"AAT55100"}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Taiwan","id":"x29972"},"association":{"text":"manufactured","id":"x29350"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1978","earliest":"1978-01-01","latest":"1978-12-31"},"association":{"text":"manufactured","id":"x29350"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"30.5","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"robot","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[{"content":"'PEACE PHANTOM OF WORLD FREEDOM.
