On this uppermost surface the artist has drawn intricate forms, recalling needles or seed pods.","physicalDescription":"Drawing composed of three sheets: a rough, buff-coloured backing sheet, overlaid with a sheet of ruled paper with handwriting, overlaid with a slightly smaller sheet of yellowish semi-transparent oiled paper. The ruled paper has several holes cut into it, revealing areas of the backing sheet.
