This process involved covering wood or metal letters (cut out in reverse) with ink and then clamping them into a frame. The size of the typography determined the most important information for readers: the name of the theatre, its productions and its stars.","physicalDescription":"Letterpress printed paper playbill with black typography, produced for the Prince's Theatre, Landport. The playbill advertises the engagement of the actress Mrs. Scott-Siddons in the lead roles of Romeo and Juliet and As You Like It from August 10th 1874. The theatre also staged the farce A Dodge for a Dinner before every performance.","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"J.
