The printer’s proof shows all 12 new colour plates, cover and endpapers for The World of Pooh of 1956, which combined both storybooks. The American publisher, E.P. Dutton first commissioned this set. Letters show that Shepard was unhappy with the planned colouring by Warren Chappell and provided his own.
