There are candle chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. In between the choir, entering the church is the Rev. Martin Hope. On stage are rows of chairs left mostly empty, with some characters standing in front of them. On either side of the church door is a choir dressed in white choir uniform and holding hym books. At the front of the church, at the right of stage are some of the significant characters in the play. On the left of the isle is the groom, Noel Ferrers, dressed in a dark suit with a white flower in his jacket pocket.
