On the left is an entrance to another room, with a sofa behind two curtains. Above the fireplace is a seascape painting showing two sailing boats in the distance with trees and peacocks at the fore. On either side of the fireplace are bookshelves and hanging china plates on display. In front of the fireplace is a dark writing desk with a stool and chair beside it. The man on the left is wearing a black dinner suit with a white waistcoat and shirt. The female character beside him is front facing with her arms beside her and her hands pointing backwards. She is wearing a frilled light coloured dress with a lace hem and long white gloves. The second couple to the right of the fireplace are holding hands. The female character on the left is wearing a white dress with poofedf arms, she has dark hair and is facing the camera. Holding her hands is a man in a dark suit and white shirt. He has dark hair and is looking towards the female character.
