Narcisse was choreographed by Mikhail Fokine and ddesigned by Leon Bakst in 1911 in Monte Carlo. This photograph relates to the 1920s revival for which some of the costumes were reallocated. Here the scarfs, which appear to be remade, are fastened to the dancers arms or wrists.\nNarcisse A Mythological poem one act had book, sets and costumes by Léon Bakst; was choreographed by Mikhail Fokine for the Ballets Russes' to an original score by Nicolas Tcherepnin. It was created for the first season by Diaghilev's Ballets Russes at the Théâtre de Monte Carlo and first performed on 29 April 1911\n1911 first season at Monte Carlo.
