The Crystal Palace was located in Hyde Park in central London until 1854, when it was taken down and rebuilt in Sydenham in south London. \n\nThe Great Exhibition was visited by more than six million people, and one hundred thousand exhibits were on display. The displays at the Great Exhibition varied from raw materials such as coal, to the latest in agricultural machinery to fine arts such as sculpture. This view depicts the Indian court and is one of a set of colour lithographic prints published as a boxed set under the title <i>Lloyd’s Recollections of the Great Exhibition 1851</i>. \r\n","physicalDescription":"Interior view of the Great Exhibition showing visitors looking at the Indian court.
