The original mustard, blue and red Rocabar design has been frequently revisited by Hermès over the ensuing decades; appearing in various fabrications and colourways, as a blanket, a trim on a garment, or adorning accessories. \r\n\r\nThis Rocabar poncho was was worn by Anne Moen Bullitt, a wealthy American socialite and keen horse breeder and trainer. Born in Paris in 1924, Anne led a well-travelled life from an early age, travelling with her diplomat father around the globe. In the late 1940s, Anne moved to Spain with her second husband; it was here where she developed a taste for couture fashion as a regular client of Cristobal Balenciaga. Throughout her life, Anne would amass a vast wardrobe of couture fashion, accessories and jewellery, spanning four marriages and decades of travel.
