"}],"objectHistory":"This dress was worn by Marie Vidoykovitch for her marriage on 21 June 1947 to Howard Everett at Leckworth Free Church, Hertfordshire.\r\n\r\nThe labels in the dress include the \"Double Elevens\" tag, which used to be regularly mis-identified as a British Utility mark assumed to indicate higher-end quality Utility merchandise, or items made solely for export, but in fact is actually a trade label introduced from April 1946 and used up until March 1952. In a press notice from the UK Government in July 1946, it was stated:\n\n\"Press Notice: Some of the women's coats, suits and dresses now reaching the shops bear the following label (11011).  This mark does not mean that the garment is a Utility one. On the contrary, it means that it is in the most expensive range of that manufacturers non utility production, for a manufacturer may use it only if he is using clothing which is not utility and for which he has paid more than a given price.
