It dates from ca. 1794 and the techniques range from a deeply incised engraving to hand-coloured aquatint.\r\n\r\nThis album is an example of an early trade catalogue, aimed at retailers making fireplace orders. It documents shifts in taste in metalwork, historic interiors and in graphic communication. It also provides an insight into commercial printed material from the 18th century.
